at Tifton and attended the grad
uation exercises Saturday morn
ing at Abraham Baldwin College
when their daughter and sister,
Virginia, received her associate
degree in Home Economics. Miss
Thomas was the recipent of the
George P. Donaldson award for
scholarship, leadership and citi
zenship in the class.

Fitzgerald was the weekend guest
of Dr. and Mrs. Virgil Eady en
route to Monroe, Louisiana to
visit relatives.

Mrs. W. S. Cook, Jr. and Mrs.
W. S. Cook, Sr. attended the grad
uation exercises at Emory Uni
versity Monday when H. a Evans,
the husband of the former Lauree
Cook, received his PHD In Chem
istry. Dr. and Mrs. Evans will
spend this weekend here with her
parents, Dr. and Mrs. Cook, prior
to going toWaynne, New Jersey to
make their home. Also joining
their family for the weekend will
be Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Cook of
Atlanta.

daughter, Patricia Louise, to Dr.
William A. Reagin, son of Mr.
and Mrs. William N. Reagin of
Atlanta.
Dr. Reagin is the grandson
of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Hays,
Sr. of Mansfield.
Miss Haller was graduated with
honor from the University of
Arkansas, where she was a mem
ber of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority
for which she served as scho
larship chairman and house
manager. She also served as pre
sident of the Studen National
Education Association and was
secretary of the Legislative
Board for the Association of
Women Students. Her senior year
she was elected to Kappa Delta
Pl Honorary Educational Frater
nity and was selected as one of
the Outstanding Senior Women.
She is presently teaching fourth
grade in Atlanta.
Dr. Reagin attended under
graduated school at Emory-at-

Emory University School of

whipped creme. The refreshment

arrangement of yellow and white
carnations, majestic daisies,

lwood was given by Mrs. Dwight
Massey and Mrs. Dallas M. Tar
kenton, Jr. of Athens on Saturday,
June 8 at the Porterdale Hotel.
The luncheon table, covered
with exquisite organdy cloth was
centered with a beautiful ar
rangement of mums, greenery,
and blue daisies. Matching ar
rangements were on the two side
tables.

Monthly Sing At
Canaan June 22
The monthly singing at Canaan
Baptist Church on Salem Road
