Tallulah Falls School
Gets Building Expansion
On Monday, October 28, at 3:00
p. m,, a ground breaking cere
mony for the multi-purpose buil
ding at Tallulah Falls School was
held. The building will be named
in honor of the Young Matron’s
Circle of Atlanta. Construction
is now underway and it is anti
cipated that the building will be
completed by fall 1970,
Tallulah Falls School was es=
tablished in 1909 by the Georgia
Federation of Women’s Clubs.
Tallulah operates on the trimes
ter school year. A total enroll
ment of 248 students from thr
oughout the state attend the 12
grades.
With the construction of this
building the campus development
plan for Tallulah Falls will be
completed., The H, R, and C, R,
Cannon classroom and admini
stration building; the Passie
Ottley Library; Westmoreland
Hall (girls dormitory) and Fitz=-
patrick._hall (boys . dormitory)
have been completed along with
adequate housing for staff per
sonnel, sewerage disposal plant,
paved roads and street lights,
