Beaty Returns
And Atlanta
Hawks Improve
The return to form of Zelmo
Beaty is a big factor in the At
lanta Hawks success in recent
games.
“Beaty was handicapped by
missing 10 games with that leg
injury but he’s back to his usual
form,” Coach Richie Guerin said.
“Z’s a fine defensive player and
he’s sound again which is impor
tant to our overall picture. Bea
ty is a fine rebounder and a great
defensive player and now that he’s
well - he can pick us up in both
departments.
“Beaty isn’t going to get a lot
of offensive rebounds because he
is primarily an outside shooter
but he does a great job on de
fensive assignments off the bo
ards and in blocking shots. He’s
been blocking three to six shots
a game and he really gets us mov
ing.”
Guerin feels that the club fin
ally has hit their respective sh
ooting marks.

ATLANTA — Clint Castleberry

two men who were more than just
percentage shots and moving the
ball better,” he points out.
“We’re moving the ball better and
when we are hitting offensively we
play better defense. When we run
and get the offensive rebound, we
control the temp of the game.
However, if we take the bad shot,
our big men are out of position
and we let the other club get the
easy basket.”

The offensive player deemed
