holders and 400,000 merchant
outlets in 45 states.
Bankers heard Georgia Bank-
Amerlcard’s marketing group
relate the overwhelming success
of BankAmericard since its in
troduction in Georgia last June.
Much of the success was attri
buted to widespread merchant ac
ceptance and a unique promo
tional program. Newspaper ad
vertising was also singled out as
one of the most important
mediums used. Marketing plans
for 1969 were also revealed.
