NEWS from your I
PHARMACIST^
By R. H. Patterson
We have often heard the
question: “Is coughing always
present in tuberculosis of the
lungs?”
Contrary to wide belief, a
person may have tuberculosis
of the lungs without any cough.
That is why
it is so impor
tant for all
people to have
frequent chest
X - rays. The
slow process
of TB can go
over a period
of years until
the disease has spread th
rough aU the lung tissue—
and the victim be unaware of
even being ill.
We salute the people who
have labored so faithfully over
the years to bring mobile X
ray units to practically every
one. This is just another step
forward by medical science.
Take every available pre
caution that guards your hea
lth. We live in the “miracle”
age of medicine—and a long

store for all of us.
