President’s Wife
GOSHEN, IND., NEWS says;
“Pat Nixon, the President’s wife,
came up the hard way. She is the
daughter of a miner. She has
worked hard. She worked her way
through college. She clerked in a
store. She also taught school. . .
Just about the time most of us
had decided it took a rich man
to run for president, we get a
new evaluation and it sort of
renews faith in the old, old story
that anyone, boy or girl, may
grow up to occupy the spacious
quarters on Pennsylvania Ave
nue.
