Dooley’s Dolls
Elect Officers
Dooley’s Dolls, the social and
service organization for women
students at Oxford College, ele
cted the 1969-70 officers re
cently. The club’s primary fun
ction is to provide the Oxford
Coed an atmosphere of mutual
cooperation, intellectual and
social stimulation; membership
is open to all women enrolled as
students at Oxford.
The following officers were
chosen: President, Bunny Lum
sden, Clarksville; V.-President,
Bets O’Kelly, Indialantic, Flo
rida; Secretary, Becky Beck
man, Heningway, South Carolina;
Treasurer, Gloria Tomszak, Cl
earwater, Florida; Social Chair
man, Lynn Bruce, Stanford,
Conn.; Project Chairman, Sherry
Lorenz, Pensacola, Florida.
College Honor
Council Elected
The members of the 1969-70
Student Judiciary Committee
have been elected. These stu
dents have been chosen to car
ry out the new honor code, which
Oxford Students recently accept
ed. The committee will handle
any cases in violation of the
honor code.
Those chosen were: Chairman,
Tony Gibson, Ocilla, Cody Wat
son, Thomson, Ronnie Gay, War
wick; Lee Hawkins, Gainesville;
Martha Finger, Fort Meyers,
Florida; and George Williams,
Douglas.

Ward with burial at Hopewell
A. R. Presbyterian Cemetery.
Mrs. Chesnut was the daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam
Hooten of Henry County. Mr.
Chesnut is the son of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Chesnut of our
community. Our thoughts and
prayer are with Mr. Chesnut and
family and all loved ones. We
extend to them our prayerful
sympathy.

Circle K Club
Names Officers
Bill Parker, Joe Dominguez,
John Chafin, and John Martin
have been elected by members
of the Circle K as the officers
for the club next year.
Bill Parker served as stage
manager for the Miss Oxford
Pageant, which was sponsored by
Circle K. Bill comes to Ox
ford from Montgomery, Alaba
ma. He is a resident of Stone
dorm. The club elected Bill to
serve as president for the 1969-
70 year.
Joe Dominguez, newly elected
vice-president served as decora
tions chairman on the Miss
Oxford pageant. Joe comes to
Oxford from Tampa, Florida.
The club elected John Chafin
as the new secretary. He is from
McDonough, Georgia.
Elected to the office of trea
surer was John Martin. John
is from Springfield, Tennessee.
