Arthrltlcs are people suf
fering from one of the 150
forms of arthritis.
These millions of sufferers
spend millions
of dollars on
“r emed les.”
Some help —
others harm.
The Arthri
tis and Rheu
matism Foun
dation states:
“With what is
known today about arthritis
and with the drugs and the
treatments that are available,
there is hope for every arth
ritic. Early and proper treat
ment will prevent crippling In
70 percent of the cases.”
The foundation warns, on the
other hand, that falsely adver
tised treatments-even though
“harmless” -can be a vicious
crippier.
If you have the symptoms
see yourdoctor. Proper medi
cation can be of tremendous
help to you.

HINT FOR THE HOME:
If your hard-boiled eggs
have a yellow ring around the
center, pour off the hot water
immediately and cover with
cold. This stops the cooking
of the egg and eliminates the
yellow ring.

Indoor Garden
Here’s a different idea for a
basement party room. Paint a
garden mural on the walls, using
a snapshot of your own garden
as a guide. Frame the mural
with a wainscot of picket fenc
ing. Paint the ceiling yellow, use
lots of yellow and gold in fur
nishings, and you’ll think you’re
in the sunny outdoors.

meeting on June 17.
For the devotional, Miss Sadie
Polson emphasized the “Home”
after reading from Psalm 90.
She also read a lovely poem
“So Long As There Are Hom
es” and concluded with prayer.
Iced Cokes, tidbits, and donuts
were served during a social per
iod.
Wood Hues Vary
Different people like different
wood finishes. Scandinavians
prize the orangy-gold coloring of
Douglas fir paneling and cabi
network and usually finish this
wood clear. Americans often
prefer more subtle wood tones
and will stain fir a darker shade
or bleach it to palest beige.
