from OTIS L. DAY to NEWTON
FEDERAL SAVINGS AND LOAN
ASSOCIATION, dated August 3,
1962, and recorded in Deed Book
60, page 204, Newton County Re
cords, and the entire indebt
edness having been declared due
and payable, as therein provided,
and notice regarding attorney’s
fees having been given as provided
by law; under the powers
contained in said deed and in ac
cordance with the terms thereof,
there will be sold before the
courthouse door in said County at
public outcry, during the legal
hours of sale on the first Tuesday
in July, 1969, to the highest bid
der for cash, the following des
cribed property to wit:
All that tract or parcel of
land lying and being in the City
of Covington, Newton County,
Georgia, and lying on the South
side of Midway Drive (formerly
called New Street), and descri
bed as follows:
BEGINNING at the northeast
corner of the lot of Mrs. Min
nie Skinner on the South side
of Midway Drive, and thence
running East along the South
side of Midway Drive 75 feet;
thence South 140 feet to the
line of the Bowers estate land;
thence West along the line of the
Bowers estate land a distance of
75 feet to the line of Mrs. Min
nie Skinner; and thence North
along the line of Mrs. Minnie
Skinner lot a distance of 140
feet to Midway Drive and the
point of beginning. Said tract
of land bounded on the North
by Midway Drive, on the East
by lands of Willie H. Smith,
on the South by Bowers estate
land, and on the West by Mrs.
Minnie Skinner lot. The tract
of land herein conveyed being
all of Lot. No. 9 and the
West one-half of Lot No. 10
of the subdivision of the Mrs.
J. M. Pope lands, and being
the same property conveyed
by warranty deed from J.
Bryant Steele to Otis Day, dated
August 1,1962
Now located on the above
described property is one 5-
room brick veneer dwelling.
The proceeds of said sale to be
distributed in accordance with the
terms of said deed to secure debt.
