2 Rutledges
Played Great
Ball At NCHS
When the local basketball sea
son rolls around, many fans
hearts are heavy when they real
jze that two Rutledges — Billy
Dean and Terry—will no longer
see the current teams perform.
Billy Dean drowned in a fishing
accident in the summer of 1959
and Terry was killed in an auto
mobile wreck in 1968.
These two Ram performers
were not brothers, but they will
long be remembered as two of
the best cage stars to ever per=
form for Coach Ronald Bradley.
Billy Dean teamed with Gerald
Autry in Bradley’s first Ram
team here in the 1958=59 season.
Terry was a guard and had ashis
running mate Henry Bowen on
the teams in the early 1960’5.

here in Covington is fantastic,
may be an understatement, His
