CALL TODAY! 678-521-9747 Livestock Show Team excels at state The Pike County FFA Livestock Show Team wrapped up its 2020-21 winter show season at the Georgia Junior National Livestock Show. “The state show ended on a good note this year with 12 of our ex hibitors placing in the top 10 in their weight classes,” said CTEA teacher and FFA advisor Morgan Hurkmans. “These students had a great year with lots of ribbons, buckles and money earned but the life lessons taught through these projects far outweigh the awards. Congratulations to these students for a great show season!” Macie Elkins and Carter Steele both earned Top 5 honors. These students worked hard managing feeding, train ing and correctly maintaining the skin and hair of these pigs,” said Hurk mans. “They have all become better leaders and teammates throughout the five-month project and have developed many life skills such as responsibility, financial management, organization and record keeping.
