Two locals graduate
from Georgia Southern
More than 3,000
students earned de
grees from Georgia State
University during the fall
2020 semester, including
two students from Pike
County.
Haley Carlisle of Con
cord earned a Bachelor
of Science in Education
degree with a major in
Elementary Education,
including studies for
certification in teach
ing English as a Second
Language.
Michael Claman of
Williamson earned a
Bachelor of Business Ad
ministration degree with
a major in Computer
Information Systems.

Southern President’s List
Georgia Southern
University recently rec
ognized approximately
2,420 students for excel
lence in academics on
the Fall 2020 President’s
List including sev
eral students from Pike
County. To be eligible
for the President’s List,
a student must have at
least a 4.0 grade point
average and carry a mini
mum of 12 hours for the
semester.
Local students who
earned the President’s

Dean’s List students
honored at GSU
Georgia Southern
University recently rec
ognized approximately
3,850 students for excel
lence in academics on
the Fall 2020 Dean’s List,
including several stu
dents from Pike County.
To be eligible for the
Dean’s List, a student
must have at least a 3.5
grade point average and
carry a minimum of 12
hours for the semester.

She is the daughter of
Floyd and Cindy Miller,
