I Have Seen God
“Be not forgetful to entertain strangers, for thereby some
have entertained angels unawares.” Hebrews 13:2
I’ve seen God in a dad who always worked to provide for our family.
I’ve seen God in a mom who always took care of me and my brother and
made a safe, happy home for us. I’ve seen God in a brother doing a man’s
chores, since our dad was away working. I’ve seen God in little puppies lick
ing away my tears. I’ve seen God in pastors who broke the Bread of Life to
us, week after week. I’ve seen God in teachers who thought of me more than
reading, arithmetic and other school curriculum. As a crippled child, I’ve
seen God in therapists who worked to strengthen my bones and muscles.
I’ve seen God in a speech therapist who knew my speech wouldn’t improve
so, he worked on teaching me to let writing be my main source of communi
cating. I’ve seen God in a coach who picked me up every morning so I could
be in Bible study before school. I’ve seen God in doctors who have kept me
healthy. I’ve seen God in friends as they encouraged me. I’ve seen God in
a mate who has looked past my afflictions and has loved me for who I am.
I have seen God! Who have you seen God in? How have others seen God
in yOU? Written by, Machelle McCoy
