PIKE COUNTY SCHOOL DIS

The Pike County Election
Superintendent and the Pike
County Board of Education
hereby call a special election
to be held on November 2,
2021, at the regular polling
places in all the election dis
tricts of Pike County School
District at which time there
will be submitted to the qual
ified voters of Pike County
School District for their de
termination the question of
whether a special sales and
use tax for educational pur
poses of one percent shall
be levied, imposed and col
lected on all sales and uses
in Pike County for a period
of time not to exceed twenty
(20) calendar quarters, be
ginning with the calendar
quarter following the cal
endar quarter in which the
sales and use tax for educa
tional purposes presently
in effect expires, and for the
purpose of raising not more
than $14,600,000 of net pro
ceeds by said tax, which
shall go to the School District
for the purpose of (i) adding
to, renovating, repairing,
improving, and equipping
existing school buildings,
school system facilities and
athletic facilities; (ii) pav
ing and improving campus
roads and parking lots and
improving Americans with
Disabilities Act compliant
accessibility throughout the
school system; (iii) acquiring
miscellaneous new equip
ment, fixtures and furnish
ings for the school system,
including HVAC equipment,
computer technology equip

athletic equipment, kitchen

and equipment, school
buses and other vehicles,

Planning Commission Board to fill a three-year term, set to

MONTHLY MEETING
August 19, 2021 6:00 p.m.
The Pike County Board of Appeals will conduct its scheduled monthly
meeting on August 19, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. on the second floor of the Pike
County Courthouse located at 16001 Barnesville Street, Zebulon, Georgia.
The Board will conduct PUBLIC HEARINGS on the following items:
(1) Special Exception application SE-21-07. James C & Glenda More-
lock, applicant, and owner are requesting permission via special exception
to allow temporary living quarters on his property for personal recreation
(hunting, fishing, weekend retreat, etc.) Temporary living quarters for per
