Local 4-H’ers spend summer enjoying programs and camp
This summer has
been busy and exciting
for many Pike County
4-H members. Clover-
leaf and Junior 4-Hers
attended camp at Rock
Eagle 4-H Center in Ea-
tonton. Campers got to
experience some fun and
exciting activities includ
ing, archery, canoeing,
herpetology, swimming,
lake ecology and having
fun with friends.
“Everyone had a
wonderful time and are
already thinking about
summer camp 2022,”
said Penny Cosper.
“The summer program
was exciting and fun
because of the hands-on
activities planned. There
was a craft day where
everyone was able to
make birdseed cookies
and terrariums. They
enjoyed a fun and educa
tional day touring Warm
Springs fish hatchery.
Beekeeper Mr. Jim Quick
educated us on beekeep
ing and protecting our
pollinators and our final
summer activity was
the Milk Shake Contest
where everyone had a
good time and enjoyed
some creative and deli
cious drinks.”
