Notice is hereby given in com
pliance with Georgia Code 22-2-
109 and 32-3-5 that the Georgia
Department of Transportation
has approved the Location and
Design of this project.
The date of location and de
sign approval is: September 15,
2021
The proposed project is lo
cated on CR 333/Concord Road
at Birch Creek, approximately 2
miles north of the city of Concord.
The project is located 100% in
Pike County, Congressional Dis
trict 3, within Land Lot 145, Land
District 1, and GMD 505. The total
length of the project is approxi
mately 0.2 miles.
The proposed bridge would
be a three-span bridge, approxi
mately 135 feet long by 29.75 feet
wide over Birch Creek and would
be constructed on existing align
ment. The proposed roadway typ
ical section will include two travel
lanes that are 11 feet wide with
shoulders that are six feet wide (2
feet paved, 4 feet grassed). An off
site detour will be utilized and the
estimated time for construction is
12 months.
