plate for purposte of concealing indentification of
motor vehicle;
Charles Bevel Connor, 39, probation violation (when
probation terms are altered) for fingerprintable charge;
Frankie Green, 51, felony theft by taking;
Jimmie Carnielious Henry, 26, probation violation
(when probation terms are altered) for fingerprint-
able charge;
Chadwick Hoyt Turner, 38, criminal trespass.

Travis Andrews, 39, expired registration revalida
tion decal, improper tag display, no insurance and
open container in vehicle;
Robert Lewis Draggs, 31, disorderly conduct (city
ordinance), public drunkenness (city ordinance);
Tyrek W. McDowell, 21, driving while license sus
pended or revoked, driving with no license on person,
DU1 alcohol/controlled substance present in blood/
urine; DU1 drugs and failure to drive within single lane;
Derric Anthony Ramey, 20, driving while license

OBITUARIES
Doris Bankston Allen
Mrs. Doris Bankston Allen, 96, of Thomaston, died
Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Riverside Health
and Rehab. Funeral services for Mrs. Allen were
held on Sunday, November
7 at 2:30 p.m. at the First
United Methodist Church
of Barnesville. Dr. Cyndi
McDonald and Dr. Rex King
officiated, and burial was
in Lamar Memory Gar
dens. The family received
friends at the church on
Sunday for one hour prior
to the service.
Mrs. Allen was born
September 8, 1925, to the
late Arthur Roy Bankston
and Bessie Mae Waller
Bankston. She was a 1942
graduate of Zebulon High School and was retired
with 33 years of service from the William Carter
Company.
Mrs. Allen had been a member of the First United
Methodist Church of Barnesville since 1962, where
she sang in the choir until she was 90 years old.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Allen was preced
ed in death by her husband, William D. “Bill” Allen,
Sr., whom she married in 1943, and her son, William
D. “Bill” Allen, Jr., a sister, and four brothers. She is
survived by four children: Anne (Michael) Lavoie of
Peachtree Corners, GA; Sue (Ron) Corley of Mc
Donough, GA; Tommy (Brenda) Allen of Thomaston,
GA; and Debbie (Bill) Wheeless of Thomaston, GA; a
daughter-in-law, Janice Allen of Meansville, GA; eight
grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. Sev
eral nieces and nephews also survive.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memo
rial contributions be made to First United Methodist
Church of Barnesville or to Gideons International.
Fletcher-Day Funeral Home was in charge of all ar
rangements. Condolences and remembrances may be

American Legion Post 197’s 2021 Pike County Me
morial Annex Induction Ceremony: 6 p.m. Saturday,
Dec. 4 at the Memorial Annex on Highway 19 south,

Navy Seaman Second Class David E. Ledford, Army

Post 197 5K/10K Fun Run/Walk fundraiser: Start
anytime from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11 and run
