He died at home on Dec. 9, 2021 at 99 years of age. UGA Griffin celebrates 100 years of Psychology Department UGA Griffin cel ebrated the Depart ment of Psychology’s 100th anniversary Dec. 5 with a Cake and Learn session hosted on campus by senior lecturer Dr. Perry Buffington of Zebulon. He entertained the standing room only group by giving a few examples of what he calls “Cheap Psycho logical Tricks,” the title of one of his 13 books. A licensed psy chologist with over 20 years of private- practice, Dr. Buffing ton teaches seminars nationwide on mini mizing psychophar- macological errors.
