your door, at 75 cents per 100 pound*.
Tickets may W had from the driven on
the wagons of the company or at the
office in West Waycross. If you are not
getting ice, drop a postal card in the
post office, addressed to the Satilla Man
ufacturing Co., and it will have prompt
attention.
Ice made from distilled water has the
advantage over lake ice in that it is
perfectly pure and no evil affect* can
from a proper use of it, while lake
ice, gather** 1 from |K*nds anti rivers at
the North, which are all more*or less
polluted by sewerage and surface drain
age, carries with it the filth that is sure
to accumulate from the excessive popu
lation of the cities along the banks. Ice
gathered from this source is sure to con
tain germs of disease which are brought
into activity when exposed to the warmth
of summer. If you have a proper regard
for your health you will consider this,
and during the summer drink nothing
but the water that has been purified.
The citizen* of Waycroas are fortu
nate in having this opportunity which
has been secured for them by the Satilla
Manufacturing Co., who at a large out
lay of money, have in operation
the finest plants for the manufacture of
ice in the country. They are now
tering the second sea-mu, with a
prospect of a rushing business, as
Company has already established a rep
utation for honesty and fiur dealing. *

Already we see an imposing stand
pipe rearing its masonic proi*ortion,
aloft, surrounded by the blue ethers;
workmen busily laying pipes all over the
city, and, lo and Whold, faucets are
turned on in bath-rooms and kitchens
and a stream of pure artesian water
gushes forth in a generous way that
promises health and cleauliness to our
growing city, causes the arid sand of our
gardens to blossom as the rose, and ex
tinguishes fires before the first tiny
flame lias leapt forth.

Ind., has been two weeks in our city
prospecting for a home in our healthful

requirements, and we trust some of our
busy citizens have been able to extend
courtesies to Mr. Miller.

A FACT THAT CAB BE PROVEN.
An innocent and unsuspecting party
came to Waycroas to buy goods from
Dan Broadway English. Our little ad

store and falsely led them to believe
that that was Dan Broadway’s store. He
was glad to assume the name of Dan
Broadway English, for in this way only
he could sell the goods. Dan Broadway

Mr. Wm. Parker, in a card in the
Headlight, sits down on the Methodist
brethren who desire the new church to

whipped back into the Union, as we are
not able to run two (church) govern
