Editor Herald : Dear Hu: :—I notice in issue of your paper several over fictitious signatures, . tickets for a new mayor an aldermen for another yi will be over my < * one should last oek's id board of What I say signature, and if happen to like what I say, they will know who to hunt, many reasons, Mr. Editor, I am in favor of the same mayor and council for another year. My first reason is the fact that they have done some good work for the town this year ami they now have two years experience, and naturally enough, they are better prepared to carry on the affairs of the town than any new board could lie. My-second reason is,'the fact that our present mayor and council are all men of good business qualifications and strict ly temperate in their habits. And last, and all the time, I am in strict accord with Mr. Knight’s decission as to what is best to do with the interest money appropriated for the bonds. I sec no reason |why the water-works commission should not be allowed the money if they want to, but they should lie required to take it from y to year, and give personal security for it, paving the same rate of interest that individual would pay, not to exceed 8 per cent. With all due respect for those that differ with me, I am, very truly yours, J. R. Knigiit. Geo. It. Youmans A Co. will do j good repair work as any jewelers in tl south.
