A Musical Wonder.
Among all the musicians that
we have seen on the road, the
king bee of the musical hive
struck the town last Thursday.
He carried in his arms a kind
of grinding affair, on the style
of a hand organ, while on his
back was lashed a bass drum.—
On the drum were a pair of cym
bals aud a triangle. During his
performance on the organ, by a
leather strap fastened to his left
foot the drum sticks were work
ed, the same process clashing'
the cymbals and tapping the tri
angle, all instantaneous. These
drumsticks were worked by
spring hinge fastened to the
rim of the drum and the other
instruments were similarly ar
ranged, and when he moved his
foot the strap was pulled and
the sticks, etc., came together
with a clash. It beat a monkey
and organ all to pieces, but still,
there is something wanting to
draw attention—the musician
didn’t scatter any five dollar
gold coins, consequently just be
fore the hat was passed around
we became disgusted with the
discordant clashing, . banging

this truth admitted in theory,

that Hostettcr’s Stomach Bitters
is successful in so many cases,
with which remedies previously

attributable to the fact that it is a
