| dicinal qualities with an utter disregard
I to truth, science and common sense.
( Such claims, however, are short-lived
for the public, thongh deceived for the
time cannot always be hoodwinked, atid
are fast finding out the hollowness of
pattent medicine boastings. The truly
meritorious cannot be cried down nor
cau it be retarded, it is a part of the-
march of progress, and the only way to
meet it is to ao better than others, in
all departments where experience,
skill, productive facilities and commer
cial honesty are legitimate factors.
In keeping wtth this view of the man-
’ufactnre of medicines which are and al
ways will bo in demand, a class of
remedies have sprung- up to meet a
popular demand, 1 allude to -non-secret,
or remedies liaving the formula on
