Tok'o, Dec 1— An official re port to Imperial headquarters says: “the army bo;:an l.otn- bardment against Metrix Hi'l at dawn on November 30, aud made several charges before 4 in the afternoon. At 5 in the after- noon our force advanced, again to the southwest portion of the hill and made a fierce charge We reached within 30 meters of the sumit at seven. With rein forcements we charged again at 8, and the entire front fell into our hands. The Hussians left heaps of dead bodies on the east ern side of the hill, but we have had no time to investigate further.” It is believed now that Gen. Stoessel will attempt to retreat to Liao Tshin forts, his last line of defense, but ex perts here declare that he will be cut off and compelled to surren der. A number of en'husiastic Odd Fellows, mcniliers of UreonleaC Lodge No. 249 of Blacksheur, came over la-t night and met with Waycross Lodge No. 9’ Members of the Waycross lodge of Odd Fellows assisted in instir luting Greenleaf Lodge, and for this reason, as well as for vari ous others, it was indeed a great pleasure foe- them to have the Blacksbear Odd Fel lows meet with them last night. The initiatory and first de grees were very creditably con ferred on a candidate and the se cret work was exemplified. Af ter the conferring of the degrees a recess was declared for the purpose of letting all present partake of the well prepared re freshments in the hall. For the delicious refreshments much credit is due the members of Esther Rebekah Lodge No. (i, who spared no nains to see that none went away hungry. After partaking of the excellent feast, the members reassembled in the lodge room where some very interesting and timely remarks were made by members of both lodges. " The visitiug Odd Fel lows, after having expretsed themselves ns being highly pleased with the occasion, and thanking the local lodge for courtesies, took their departure for Blacksheur about 10:45. The organ pealed foith the marriage hymn, “The Voice that Breathed O’er hiden,” sung by chorister girls. The bridal party entered to the strains of the wedding march played by Miss Strickland. First came the ushers, Mr. Allan Jones of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mr. Eppes, of Atlanta, followed by the maid of honor, Miss Jose phine Love, sister of the bride. She is a blonde, tall and graceful and her gown of white lace over green silk, and caught in at the waist with a aash of green, was very becoming. She carried white roses tied with green tulle. The bride entered on tho arm of her brother, Mr. G. Bicknell Love, and wa6 met at the im provised altar of palms and ferns by the groom and his best man, Mr. Lester Muse, of Char lotte,N.*0. The ceremony was im pressively performed by "Bishop 0. K,. Nelson while the chorister girls sung softly, “O, Perfect Love.,’* The bride was elegant ly gowned in a green cloth suit with gloves and hat to match. The blouse was of white silk daintly fashioned and fastened at the throat was a magnificent pearl brooch which completed the costume. She carried shower bouquet of bride’s roses and narcissus. After the cere- monv Mr. and Mrs. Barnes left for Charlotte N. C., where they will make their home.
