SEAMAN. % Mil. jMft jJL Mil d Boy and Girl Assassinated Valdosta, Ga., June 14.—The Car- ter-Rawllng’s family feud In the Hnhl- ra district culminated last night in the assassination of Willie Carter, the 16-year-old son of W. L. Carter, and his 14-year-old sister. Sheriff Passmore and Chief of Po lice Dampler returned tonight from tho scene of the assassination, bring ing Jesse, -Milton and Leonard Raw lings and two negroes charged with the crime. The coroner's Jury fully investigat ed the matter and returned a verdict laying tho crime to two of tho Raw lings men. Mr. and Mrs. Carter, par ents of the murdered children, saw tho men and say they recognized them. Young Carter, after being shot, ran BIG RAILROAD DEAL CLOSED Col. John C. McDonald, Counsel for the Southern Pine Company of Geor gia, closed up a deal this week be tween his clients and the Ocilla and Valdosta Railroad Company, by the terms of which the latter company aepuired the road of tho first from Uroxton to Hazlehurst, a distance of thirty miles.
