WRITES ABOUT
WAYCROSS TEAM
Waycross, Ga., July 17, 1905.
The manager of the ball team and
the people of Waycross should not
feel the least bit discouraged at our
team losing the Moultrie games.
We have played fifteen games, won
eleven and only lost two, two being
broke up on account of rain. If that
isn’t playing league ball what Is?
rw bet on Waycross when
comes, for we Intend "doing
her one."
As Rucker is pitching for us in Al
bany today, we feel sure of winning.
The Albany team will visit us
Thursday, Friday and Saturday, which
means three more victories to our
already long list.
THE WAYCROS8 FAN.
ALBANY WON •
THE GAME
Waycross lost yesterday’s base ball
game with Albany by the score of
3 to 2. Albany made her three runs
in the sixth Inning, two scdrc having
been allowed by Cooper’s error. Per
sons pitched a fine game for Waycross
and should have won. Tomorrow
Albany comes to Waycross in the af
ternoon to play the opening game
of a series of three. Base ball en
thusiasts may expect the best games
of the season here as Albany has the
entire Dothan, Ala., team who defeat

DON’T DISCOURAGE
OUR BALL TEAM
Waycross, Ga., July 17, 1905.
EDITORS OF THE HERALD:
Dear Judge, 1 have heard a good
deal of kicking on the Waycross Base
Ball team, which, I think, is unjust to
our boys who played In Valdosta last
week, as Moultrie had to get four
South Atlnntlc League men to beat
them, and'thon our boys outplayed
them in every position. Thursday and
Saturday, and they only won by good
luck.
Now I would like for you !o publish
lu your valuable paper, the following
on a knocker.
