that In hla opinion hla sister Was not
responsible when she called at the
Whit* House. Said he, "at times
Ibelleve she labors under a delusion
' that everybody is trying to rob her of
what she calls her rights."
It eras perfectly natural tor the ae-|
, cret eerrlce officers to regard her as
they did, because of the msnner In
which she acted In Insisting on see
ing the President.
Mr. Hull asserted that the dismis
sal of Mrs. Morris' husband from the
Medical .Service of the army occurred
four years ago, and that he was at
• loss to . understand her agitation on
the subject at this time.

A Little Sermon on How To Reform.
Cincinnati Inquirer.
The reform of public affairs in
Ohio—and tbef need reform—depends
on the new Governor and the Legis
lature. The right way Is for each
Senator and Representative to bold
himself personally responsible and to
belong to no clique or boss. A reas
onable fidelity - to the party. Is, of
course, always to be expected. The
plan to ran politics and government!
without parties la airy platitudinous.
Bue let every Senator and Represen
tative, of all parties, aim to make a
reputation that will be a heritage,
ml a record that will servo him when
he cornea to the forks of the road at
the mortality elation.
