In company with others, we have al
lowed the Issue to rest too long, and
besides, when there Is virtually no
opposition, no one U entitled to
much praise for making a fight.
We have submitted some facts
and figures and will stand by every
statement we have made. We shall
continue to give other facts and figures
as they come to us and as occasion re

haps for continuing to rub the salt
In when the bacon Is already saved.
In this conection the Herald desires
to state that three fourths of the
stock holders of the Satllla Manu
facturlng Company are our personal
friends. It Is not our desire to pull
down any enterprise, but it ts certainly
our duty to assist in establishing new
ones when we see that their Inaugura

editor of the Herald does not propose
to retire from the firing line in this
one one-sided battle, but will toke a

Let us now get together and carry

Editors Herald:
I have read with much Intereat your
“Electric Light 8parke'' In the Herald
during the paat week, and I detlre to
state that I am heartily In accord with
your efforts to aecure municipal owner
ship of the electric ltgat plant In Way-
cross.
In several meetings of City Council
when the bond question waa discus
sed. I have favored the Incorporation
of provision* for the purchase of elec
tric lighting machinery for the city,
but It seemed to be s desire of the
majority of the members of Council to
let this question alone.
I of course, would be glad to see
the bond election successful next
Saturday, but It It were possible I
would be glad to see this election
called off and another election held
at as early a date as possible with
provisions for the purchase of elec
trical machinery Incorporated.
I believe inch an election would be
carried almost unanimously.
