A TIRED HORSE
Is just as able to do hard work as a man with an exhausted,
torpid liver. Constipation drags a long train of troubles
behind it The machinery can’t work if the boiler doesn’t
make steam to move it If the stomach and liver don’t do
their work, the body and brain can’t do their duty.
Lamar's Lemon Laxative makes things right
rim quietly, gently and effectively. Doesn’t torment the i
. bowels. Follows nature’s inethods with nature’s remedies. A
Com. and tones up weakened liver and bow.U. Makes rich, red

BILL WILL BE
REPORTED FAVORABLE.
Washington, March 11.—It I
clared probable that the bill to cre
ate a "volunteer retired list" on the
pension rolls will bo reported favor
ably by tbo House Committee on Mili
tary Affairs. A favorable report under
the conditions existing at this session
may mean passage. If the measure
shall become a law the pension ex
penses of the government will be In
creasej to an amount closely ap
proaching 10,000.000 annually.
The bill provide! for the placing
upon tho "colunteer retired
wl.h retired pay, tbo commissioned
oUlcers who served with the volunteer
army during the civil war. Of courae,
pensions as aneb for these officers
will be done away with, the ratlrel pay
taking Its place, but as the pay In al
most every Instance Is greater than
the penaton, the bill hu the support
of the volunteer officers of civil war
veterans generally, and It may have
the support of Congress.
