W .Porter and children of Waycross, came over Saturday to visit her sister, Mrs. G. P. Gregory.—Black- shear Times. Miss Carrie Strickland, of Waycross was the guest of relatives here sev eral days la|t week.—Blackshqar Times. Mr. and Mrs. 8. F. Floyd and chil dren are preparing to move to Ho boken, where they will make their home. Their many Waycross friends regret to see them leave the city. Conductor Bates presented the -Her ald office with a purple top turnip weighing six pounds. The turnip was raised in his garden in this city. Mr. Willie M. Green, who has been connected with Howel's Great London Shows, has returned home to spend the winter. The circus has gone into winter quarters at Macon. Mrs. T. K. Hatcher and chldren ex pect to leave next week for Jackson ville to join Mr. Hatcher to make their future home in that city. Mr. Hatcher is connected with a wholesale groce ry house in Jacksonville. Mr. D. R. Johnson, of Atkinson spent a part of last week in town, visiting reltives and shaking hands with his old friends. Mr. Johnson has been confined to hla home for about three or four years, and many of his friends thought ho would not recover bue he Is now restored to very good health and says be Is still Improving. -Blackshear Times.
