said Mrs. Georgia Hilliard as afore
said being applied by said First Natloi*
al Bank of Waycross for tho purpose
of taking up, transferring and assign
ing unto her an interest in said exe
cution, judgment and notes, upon
which the same is founded us afore
said, the same to he held by her the
said Mrs. Georgia Hilliard her heirs
and assigns and for her use and bene
fit in connection with the transfer and
assignment of the Interest of said First
National Bank of Waycross in and to
the mortgage and lands descrlued as
aforesaid.
And Whereas, said Mrs. Georgia
Milliard desires said land sold in sat
isfaction thereof and of her iutcrest
therein.
And Whereas, said J. S. Bailey still
remains in default in the payment of
the debt aforesaid aud there to now
due upon same the amounts aforesaid !
with additional Interest upon the prin
cipal thereof at the rate of 8 per cent
per unnuni. j
Now Therefore, under and by virtue I
of the power of sale contained in the
mortgage aforesaid recorded In Book
No. 8 Page 220, on February 28th, \
1908, in the Clerk’s Office of Ware j
Superior Court, the undersigned will.

thence Southerly at right anglea with

140 feet to a stake on the East side
of Lee Avenue 137 feet from the point
or beginning, thence running northerly
on the Kant side of said Lee'Avenue
137 feet to the plnco of beginning.
Said property to he sold as the
property of said J. S. Bailey subject
to a prior mortgage mnde by suid J.
S. Bailey to C. L. Thigpen on Au
gust, 23th, 1904, to secure a debt for
the original sum of $9,000.00, recorded
December 30th, 1901, In Hook “C” ot
Mortgages, Page 296, in the Clerk's
O ce of Ware Superior Court, and
for the purpose of paying the debt
aforesaid and of the interest held
therein by said Mrs. Georgia Hilliard
and for her benefit, and n proper
deed or deeds of conveyance ivlll be
duly made, executed and delivered to
tho Purchaser or purchasers of said

Coast Line Railroad, which was then
the Plant System, and left tho road
in the position of conductor, otter 8
years service. Mr. Lanier has held
tho office of tax collector a number
of years. He was first elected to this
office In 1897, and has been In office
altogether about ten years, and has
evidently gained much experience dur
ing that period. The following to a
reproduction of a letter to him from
Comptroller Wright;
