TO ATLANTA This morning about 8 o'clock while crossing at Brunell atreet tracks of the Atlantic Coaat Line Railroad, a strange woman by tile name of Mlaa Geneva Joiner, So trying to avoid the work train which .was drilling at thoj crossing, stepped directly in front of the incoming Dixie Flyer, the engine and train was stopped Just as soon as posalb’e but not before the engine and one coach had run over her left fog J^ist above the ankle.' The young woman claims her home at Boston, Gai. and had only been here a few days looking for work. She has no friends or relatives here. Miss Joiner was immediately' car ried to the A. C. Marion, Ind., Sept. 10.—The nine teenth annual meeting of the Indiana Board of Charities and Correction, which opens hero tonight with an ad dress by President S. E. Smith of Richmond, has brought together many men and women who are regarded as experts on the various lines of work hlch the conference will discuss.
