been sick at the home of her ma

Mt. Zion School and Warren's
Academy have had two spelling
matches during this month, oud
on the and and one on the 16th,
and each time Mt. Zon bore off
the hvuors, Neighboring schools
will find Mt Zion hard to beat in
any line of study. This school
has sentout within the past six
years teu excellent teachers.

Bernice, the little child of Mr.
and Mre. C. A. Lawrence, is very
sick Dr. Willy Whire, of Fort
Valley, was up to see her Monday.
»e. H.C:mch, an aged and
highly respected citizen, died at
his home near here, March the
15th, and was bured at New Hope
Cemetery Friday. The funeral
services were conducted by the
pastor, Rev. Sams and were very
impressive. There was a large
crowd in attendance.
