Cook has become like unto the
proverbial fodder in the hay stack.
TheMusical Festival soon to be
held in Atlanta is attracting state
wide attention,
Plant plenty of grain and food
stuffs this year, dear farmer, and
you'll be independent,
Alabama has recently admitted a
colony of Turks. We hope they
won’t gobble up the state,
Atlanta is making ready for the
big Educational Convention to be
held in that city the latter part
of this month.
It appears that many are endeav
oring to draw the Farmers’ Union
into politice. To succeed would
mean the death of this new power
in national life,
Should the people of the state
honor Col. J. D. Kilpatrick with a
seat on the Supreme Court bench
they could not make a better
choice. Heisa man of high at
tainments and ability, and would
fill the office with much distinction,
According to Armour’s the far
mers are getting the profit on
meat. Packers are not making any
more than ten years ago. That
does not relieve the situation at
present. The farmers must com
mence to rasie their own meat in
this section and stop depending
upon the west for their supply.
