Long delivered two in teresting sermons last Saturday night and Sunday to large congregations, He spent Saturday night with Mr, Charlie Cary and dined with Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Waits Sunday. Leverett, Misses Nina Leverett and Pauline Persons, of Mon ticello, motored down and spent last Friday afternoon with Mrs. J. A. Bliz zard, - Mrs, E. C. Price and young son, of Monticello, spent Tuesday very pleas antly with Mrs. T. B. McMichael, Mr. Funderburk has been on a re cent visit to his son, Mr. Lon Funder burk. Mr. and Mrs, J. H. Faulkner, of He bron, attended preaching here Sun day. > Mrs. Julia Funderburk, who lives below Hillsboro, spent last week with her daughter, Mrs. C. A. Waits. The Missionary Society met last Saturday afternoon at the church. An interesting program was carried out by the members, From what we can hear there is going to be something interesting at the school house Friday night (to night.) Misses Wilson and Hinton are keeping people in the dark about it so it all will be a surprise to those who come. They are expecting a large crowd, so let every one who can be sure to come. Messrs Henry Ford, James Jeffries and Preston Charping, of Monticeilo, attended the Box Supper last Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Blizzard and little Miss Ruby spent one day re cently with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Man ville, below Hillsboro. i Miss Kate Blizzard returned home Monday after spending a week in Ma con with her sister, lqs T. P. Beale. ‘Mr. R. H. Barker spent a few days this week in Madison. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Blizzard and lit tle Miss Marguerite spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Leverett, of Monticello. Dr. A. D. Janes and Mr. Emmett Parker made a business trip to Cov ington last Wednesday. Miss Sadie Aaron, of Eudora, is visiting Misses Rpbye and Celora Janes. Miss Maggie Allen is spending the week with her sister, Mrs. White. Mr. Lubie Chaffin was a visitor to Monticello Monday. ¢ Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Chaffin, Misses ‘Rubye and Cleora Janes and Mr, Roy Chaffin attended the wedding of Mi.s Erma Allen and Mr. Bryant Jeffries at Eudora Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Tom King entertained the young people with a~singing Sun day afternoon. : Mr. and Mrs. William Parker visit ed relatives at Stewart last week. Mr. Clark Pope, of Stewart, was the guest of his sister, Mrs. King, Sunday. Misses Velma White and Rubye Janes were guests of Miss Maggie Allen last Wednesday. , GEORGIA—Jasper County. .
