day afternoon with Mrs. Bob Lewis,
of Eudora.
Mr. C. D. Kelly spent several
days of last week in Atlanta with
Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Kelly and
Messrs Owen and Otis Kelly.
Mrs. Bettie Cunard spent the
week-end in Mansfield with Misses
Estelle and Claud Cunard.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard McClendon
and daughter, Josephine, spent from
Friday until Sunday near Brough
ton, guests of Mrs., McClendon’s
parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. N. Saye.
Misses Myrtice Chaffin and Ina
Mae Polk, of Forest Hill, spent
Saturday night and Sunday with
Miss Nina Chaffin.

Max and Hugh Kelly visited their
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H.
Kelly, in Atlanta, several days of
last week. While there they at
tended the Southeastern Fair.

dren, of Monticello, spent Saturday
night with Mr. Jim Ozburn and Miss
Lena Ozburn.
Mr. A. D. Floyd spent Sunday
with his sister, Mrs, Mary Boyd, and
family, near here.
Mr. Ed O. Aiken, of Mixon, spent
Saturday night and Sunday with
his sister, Mrs. Cary Cunard.

The state and county tax books
are now open for the purpose of the
payment of taxes. Please come for
ward and make settlement as early
as possible. The books will be
closed, according to law, after De
cember 20th. Please bear this date
in mind.

city of Monticello who desire to vote
in the city primary this fall that it
will be necessary for them to regis
ter within the next fifty days.
No citizen of the city will be
qualified to vote unless he or she
registers within the time specified
above.
Registration books are now open
at the City Hall.
