Johnson has been in bad health for
over a year at the home of his son,
Mr. Albert Johnson, of Mansfield,
where his death occured Sunday
morning at 10:30 o’clock. He has
many friends here who are grieved
to learn of his passing.

Dressed in white flannels, J. Rus
sell Drape, of East Orange, N. J.,
was forced by police Chief Beatty, of
Interlaken, N. J., to go over a mile
of muddy road and remove every
scrap of litter on it. Draper had
thrown some newspapers from his
car as he passed through the village,
and at the action aroused the chief’s
ire. At one point, Draper dropped
‘his papers and told the chief that
he’d rather take thirty days in jail
than continue. The chief was will
ing, but Draper reconsidered and
went on with his task.

After cutting a bee tree at Oklona,
Okla,, Pat McElhanon found that he
had bees in his bonnet. They swarm
ed his face. He then went home and
put them in a hive, He was stung
by only one and that one crawled
down his shirt collar and disliked
close quarters,
