“EULALIA.”
A Charming Operetta Charmingly Ren
dered Last Evening.
Last evening Hart’s opera house had
within it a very large audience, drawn
thither by the desire to see the young
folks of our city in the operetta, ‘‘Eula
lia,” rendered under the direction of Miss
Brunson, the gifted elocutionist, who has
been teaching in Dawson for some weeks.
The play was a success, the little folks
and older ones all doing their parts well
and reflecting great eredit on their in
structress, This operetta was written
by Miss Brunson, and is bright and
sparkling. Every one was delighted
with the performance.
It’s Astonishing
how Dr. Pierce’s Favorite Prescription
acts upon nervous women. It's a mar
velous remedy for necvous and general
debility, Chorea, or St. Vitus’s Dance,
Insomnia, or Inability to sleep, spasms,
convulsions, or “‘fits,”” and every like
disorder. :
Even in cases of insanity, resulting
from functional derangements, the per
sistent use of the ‘Prescription’’ will,
by restoring the natural functions,
generally effect a cure,. :
For women suffering from any chronic
“‘female complaint’’ or weakness; for
women who are run-down or overworked
at the change from girlhood to woman
hood ; and, later, at the critical ‘‘change
of life’’-—l' is a medicine that safely and
certainly builds up, strengthens, regu
lates, and cures. :
If it doesn’t, if it ever fails to benefit
or cure, you have your money back.
What more can any one ask?
Is anything that isn’t sold in this way
likely to be “‘just as good?”
A Pitiful Object.
The little white boy, Robert Lee
Hook, who was so unfortunate several
weeks ago as to have one of his legs cut
off while stealing a ride on the trucks cf
a freight train near Dawson, was out on
the streets yesterday.
It was a pitiful sightuto see the Ilittle
fellow hobbling about the streets on
crutches, and he was the object of many
sympathetic remarks. The heel of his
whole leg was crushed at the time his
leg was severed, and it, as well as the
other wound, is not well yet. But he
managed to get laround somehow, and
gathered in a nickel or a dime here and
there.—Albany Herald.

A Fire Narrowly Averted.
What whould probably have been a
serious conflagration was averied by a
timely discovery at the Simmons House
a few nights a ago. About nine o’clock
one of the guests informed Judge Sim

in the house. An investigation disclosed
the fact thatin one of the rooms in which
a fire had been built a coal had popped
on the bed and burned a hole about two
feet in circumference in the bed coyer
