“TRUTH CRUSHED TO EARTH WILL RISE AGAIN’

Despite The Efforts of Certain Persons, Both Ignorant and Arrogant,
Claiming the All-Wise Knowledge of King Solomon
WE CONTROL THE RIGHT in the State of Georgia on the Nall 801 l Weewil Eradicator—the first machine ever exploited to
catch the boll weevil—**the peer and pioneer”—a machine backed by the unqualified endorsement of some of the most reputable
bankers, merchants and farmers in the states of Alabama and Georgia, and no sooner had we begun the active prosecution of oyr
work, than a number of self-styled “experts” went about over the length and breadth of the land crying “Wolf,”” and with wagging
tongues they set themselves up as the indisputable authority trom whose hair-brained assertions there was absolutely no appeal. [y
the high-ways and by-ways and from the house tops they shouted “fake,” in many instances stating authoritatively and finally that
every boll weevil machine of any manufacture whatsoever was absolutely worthless, ‘‘a fake exploited by fakers.”” They made these
bold and arrogant assertions when in some instances they had actually

And not only that, but they made those astounding assertions in the face of testimonials of the highest order from men of unques

To Such Men, These All-Wise “Experts” Give The Lie

ow Xp To the People and Let Them Judge
Before submitting the following testimonials, allow us to say that it was upon such endorsement as the following that we undertook the exploitation of the Nall Machine. True, we did not call in a commit
tee of hair-brained “experts” for advice, and therein, perhaps, is where we brought down their wrath upon us.
Now “experts,” do you dare say these estimable gentlemen lie? And you will please also note that Mr. Reynolds says: “l had been made to believe.” Some expert evidently exerted considerable press
ure upon Mr. Reynolds. These gentlemen are well known in their respective communities and need no introduction from us.
Donaldsonville, Ga., June 1, 1917.
This is to certify that the Nall 801 l Weevil Eradicator was
demonstrated to my entire satisfaction in my cotton, and though
I had been made to believe that the Nall Machine was a fake and
would not catch the weevil, I am now convinced that the machine
will do all that it claims to do in catching both the weevil and
punctured squares. lam now using two machines on seven
teen acres of cotton, bought from Mr. G. A. Perkins, of Bain
bridge. ;
J. F. REYNOLDS.
Now “experts,” do you dare say the following gentlemen lied? We ask you the question and we await your reply with interest. You have cried trom the housetops that all machines were fakes. You
made these arrogant and sweeping statements, when by these testimonials, these estimable gentlemen hurl your statements back into your teeth. How do you like it?
Pine Apple, Ala., June 17, 1916.
To whom it may concern:—l wish to say that I bought several
of the Nall 801 l Weevil Eradicators from Mr. W. J. Stanford, for my
customers, and those that have tried them, say that they would not
do without them for any amount, and expect to use them again. Mr.
W. W. Ptomey says they are worth their weight in gold. I think
every farmer and those who are trying to make cotton ought to have
one. Yours very truly,
SIMON PATTERSON.

Repton, Ala., June 23, 1916.
We have watched with interest a number of demonstrations by
different persons of the “Nall 801 l Weevil Eradicator,” and with very
few exceptions, reports are enthusiastic as to its efficiency in catch
ing the weevil.
We believe that®if the machine is properly used, together with
systematically stirring the ground, the weevil can be overcome and
a good crop made. Very truly,
E. L. KELLY, Vice President.
Now “experts,” if you are still unconvinced, if you feel that the meat upon whicn you feed still makes you wiser than all the rest of mankind—it will afford us exquisite
pleasure to hurl a few more testimonials into your teeth, which we are sure will be, not like your present diet, but food to make you ponder.
l N PAR T l N G We would have you “experts” understand once and for all that we did not court favor—we care nothing for your condemna
tion. We maintain, however, that the time has arrived to put you on notice that you cannot arbitrarily usurp to yourselves
the right to shout “LIE” in the face of some of the best men in two states, nor can you usurp the right, through blind ignorance and prejudice to shout “fake’ without
first knowing that a fake exists. We know nothing of the merits or demerits ef any boll weevil machine other than the Nall 801 l Weevil Eradicator, but we do know of
the merits of this machine, and we demand in the name of rightand justice that you “experts”’ look before you leap, cease your arrogant, hair-brained chatter, eminating
from a prejudiced and ignorant understanding of your subject. ,
The Nall 801 l Weevil Eradicator is by well known men in Georgia. The home office is in Columbus,
and the price of the machines are $lO.OO eack cash on delivery.

THE DAWSON NEWS.
Hahira, Ga., June 4, 1917.
After hearing so much talk against the 801 l Weevil Traps for
catching the weevil, I had Mr. W. J. Stanford, who represents the
Nall 801 l Weevil Eradicator Co., of Columbus, Ga., to come to my
farm, and he spent the day with me demonstrating the Nall 801 l
Weevil Catcher, and I had the machine used in my own hands
in each of my farms and caught the weevil successfully in each one
of the cotton fields, also caught punctured forms in the machine,
which assures me the efficiency of the machine, and I gave Mr.
Stanford my orders for four of the machines. And I unhesitat
ingly recommend this machine to all farmers, for it will do all
it claims to do. Very respectfully,
Z. BAILEY.

Mr. W. A, Nall, Lenox, Ala.
Dear Sir:—ln reply to yours of the 6th inst., regarding the Nall
801 l Weevil Eradicator, wish to say that I tried out your 801 l Wee
vil Catcher last season on my plantation and consider it a great in
vention.
It seems to me that when all the farmers get one and are edu
cated to the fact that they have got to fight the 801 l Weevil persist
ently, it will then be that again we can make a normal or near nor
mal cotton crop, in the parts of our infected sections.
Respectfully,
W. R. BOULWARE.
Repton, Ala., Jan. 2, 1917.
To whom it may concern:—This is to certify that I used the
W. A. Nall 801 l Weevil Eradicator on my farm during the early
spring, 1916, and found it to be all right. I believe that if this ma
chine is properly run on cotton early in spring that you can make
a good crop regardless of the weevil.
Respectfully submitted, H. L. DEES.
‘ Carnegie, Ga., June 6, 1917.
This is to certify that I bought three Nall 801 l Weevil Eradica
tors from C. G. Perryman, of‘ Cuthbert, and Mr. Martin, who has
them in charge, has tried them and from our experience we are satis
fied they will catch both the boll weevil and punctured squares.

Monroeville, Ala., R. F. D. No. 1, Jan. 10, 1917.
This is to certify that I used the Nall 801 l Weevil Eradicator
on a small plot of my cotton, 1916, and find it made me twice as
much as some other cotton where it w;u not used. I am sure it will
catch the weevil if properly used in early spring, and I am going to
use it in 1917 and make a full crop regardless of the weevil.

Mr. W. A. Nall, Repton, Ala.
Sir:—W e bought 25 of your Weevil Eradicators on June Ist of
last year and an additional 10 on June 13th. In cotton fields where
our tenants used the Eradicators as directed, we believe that the loss
from boll weevil up to July Ist was very small.
Yours truly,
