THE HOME LIFE OF TERRELL COUNTY
ONE of the first questions of importance to one seeking
a new environment is what kind of homes, what
kind of society? and.to this we say with pardonable pride,
Terrell County is abundantly able to give a satisfactory -
answer. No county of the state presents better oppor
tunities for those seeking such investment. Our people
are thoroughly imbued with the idea that whatever tends
to improve the homes tends to make us all better citizens.
In the past few years Temell County cinzens have
greatly improved their property, either by rebuilding or
remodeling and this improvement 1s constantly going on,
oreatly to. the advantage of the county’s appearance.
Modem buildings, with well kept flower gardens and
lawns, are sure to impress the stranger who comes this
way. But four walls do not, m the highest and best
sense, make a home, the charming family and social hife
of Terrell County is the natural result m culture and re
fement of inherited and cultivated habits of thought and
action along the best lnes.
Nothing better illustrates the character of a people than the places
in which they dwell and of the home-life of the county there is so much
of good to be said, lack of space makes it impossible to go into detail.
_ Situated in the rich farming section of wonderful possibilities,

This will be the inevitable result of the new period of growth upon
which we have entered. | , |
All signs point to the encouraging fact that Terrell County is en
tering upon the greatest period of prosperity and development in all her
history. Her possibilities are as yet but faintly realized. The farm
dweller and the city dweller meeting on a footing of mutual interests
cannot fail to result in a new era of constructive and permanent develop
ment for both. Our future along this line of happy home life filled
with more promise than ever before. Industry, integrity and enterprise
generous rewards in good society that offers ideal environment where
home sites are reasonable, and where comfort 1s considered
of more value than mere show. Within easy reach of
the bustling cities of the state, healthful surroundings, ex
cellent business sites, desirable neighbors, Terrell County offers attrac
tive social conditions for people of culture and refinement. This 1s a
goal to which the energies of all citizens are directed, to be
clean in the home life, clean in the physical and moral at
mosphere, clean in the amusements, in other words to be
true to the traditions of the men and women who in this
southland built up the 'highest and best civilization the
world has ever known.
Everywhere the signs of substantial improvements an
nounces to the world that Terrell has laid aside her swad
dling clothes and has girded herself for larger and better
accomplishments. e 4
