Famine in Terrell County
HEN it comes to Terrell County’s agricultural possibilities the story is endless. It is without a superior,
80l almost without a peer, in the state. No part of the United States is more versatile in agriculture than
Terrell County, where there is a growing season of almost eight months each year and there is not a time
in the year when some crop may not be grown. Both soil and climate are favorable to the splendid fruition

Some Things Which Terrell County Has Done and Is Doing
It has produced more cotton per square mile than any other county in the cotton belt, except one, during three decades.
Its lands make from 20 to 163 bushels of com per acre. On several acres there has been grown 135 bushels per
acre, and 73 bushels per acre of 23 acres, and only 1,200 pounds of commercial fertilizer used on the entire area.
Its lands produce thousands of bushels of peanuts, velvet beans and field peas. - ‘ |
Many carloads of fine hogs are raised and shipped annually. '
Hundreds of fine beef cattle are raised for the market. ' |
Wheat is grown successfully and its fertile lands produce thousands of bushels each season. An excellent wheat
