Heard From. —Some time ago, we noticed the su Iden disappearance of Mr. Jesse II arrell, Sheriff ot Webster county, and stated that fears were en tertained by his friends that he hud been murdered, and as it was known, he always carried a largo amount of money about his person. The following extract of a letter writ ten by a resident of Webster county, will throw some light upon tbe sudden disappearance of Mr. H.: 1 M l . Jesse II at ell has loft for parts unkrown. He has taken with him ail bis money, left his wife without any tneaus to live on, and what is worse than all, ha has tAen the daugh ter or one of the best citizens of Web ster county, Mr. A. P Lowery. This man Harrell was a member of Marshal Lodge, Ne. 188, F A M., and also a member of the Baptist Church ” Sumter Rep. Business in New York. A letter from New York says.- “General trade is begining to look up a little, but only a little. The dry goods dealers report a fair business in woolens, at, full prices, but domestic cot tons are dull and drooping.
