Tribute of Respect.
Whereas, our venerable and esteemed Fath
er and Brothor, Joshua Cannon, long a true
and faithful member of the M. E. Church,
and a zealous Mason, has fallen in our midst,
and now lias in the cold embrace of relent
less Death, it becomes our duty aud privi
lege, as bis surviving brethren, to give ex
pression of our appreciation of his many vir
tues, and to our feeling some of the great
and imparablc losses, which the Church, Fra
ternity, and community have sustained, there"
fore,
Resolved, That, as a brotherhood, wc emu
late the character aud virtue of our beloved
Pro. Cannon, and though dead, his memory
we eli >ll ever revere, love aud cherish with
fraternal regard.
Resolved, That iu hii death, the Church,
Fraternity, and our entire community hare
sustainod a loss, which those alone can {fully
appreciate, who, in the providence of Gcd
have been called to experience so sad. a be
reavement.
Resolved, 7Tiat, knowing our lamented
brother aud appreciating his excellencies, we
feel prepared to sympathize with children and
relatives in this, their deep affliction, and we
do humbly tender them the sincere condo
lance of this Lodge.

regard for our departed brother, that a blank
page on the Minutes of our Lodge be appro
priated to his memory.
