Whereas, At the July Turin A■ D. 13“ , of the Superior Court, held in and for the County of Washington, one James Oxford was tcied lor, and eonvic'od, of tho crime of murder, and sentenced, by the Judge presid ing at said Court, to be executed, by hanging by the neck until dead, on Friday, the Ist dav of September proximo, and was, by order of said Court, coniini ted to the jail of the Ooun- j tv of Baldwin, for safe keeping, to await the , fulfillment of his said sentence; and, i WtiKREAS, It has been officially repo-ted I to this department, that cn the night of the 22nd of July, 1871, in the city of Millodge ville.
