Terrell Superior Court is still in sos »jon, -at the moderate cost to the coun ty of about $125 per day. What a pity that people will do wrong. We counted twenty-thrco panes of glass broken out on one side of the Methodist Church - the other day. When we shall have finished counting we will give tho aggregate. On repairing to the spot, having fully made up our mi.nd to view the bloody corpse of some hu man form, what was our surprise to hear the cheering exclamation, “no body hurt!” Upon inquiry it was as- j co'rtaiqed that two' strangers within 1 our gates had Seen proper to' disagree, j hence the shooting. They were, as we learn, both Ex-Confederate sol diers, and, as in war times, one j stood up to the rack, whilo tho other sought breastworks. One of tho gou-, tlemon upon investigation was found to So guilty of no offense against, the law, save tho carrying of concealed weapons. Judge Harrell entered game just here, said it roquired a SSO note to make houors easy, whereupon they ware, immediately made easy. Tho other gentleman “fought and ran Away,” and “will live to fight anothor day,” provided Mr. Ilirrell does’nt dis gust him with the business. What a pity people will do wrong. Resolved, That the late Treasurer of tho Western aud Atlantic Railroad, and other officers and agents of suid road, pay immediately over to tho Treasurer of the State of Georgia the balances remaining in their hands be longing to tho said State of Georgia, being the earnings of tho Western and Atlantic Railroad whilst in possession oi said State. I Resolved further, That said late Treasurer, and other officers and agents of said W estern and Atlantic Railroad, shall not pay to any of the late officers or to any of the persons now claiming to bo officers of said road, or to any persons appointed by Rufus B.
