The Temperance party at the Ma
sonic Hail last night was a grand suc
cess. Tho Good Templars and the
Cold Water Army were out cn masse,
also quite a number of outsiders who
seemed much interested in the cause.

table was supplied with the substan
tials of life, to which our senior was
invited, and we havo not heard any
complaint of his not eating. After
supper Hon. J. J. Kiddoo, of Cutlibert,
and Du Moore favored tire party with
impromptu speeches on the iauso of
