Mr. Theo E. Christian, foreman of
the Old Cipetal, published at Milledgc
ville, and, at one time, connected with
the Dawson Journal, while atteud
ii g a party in mat city, fell from a
second story window and was killed.

day brings the information that Mr.
Kent, the biid-hunter inlet viewed, was
killed, oti the day previous, by an ac
cidental discharge of his gun. When
we clipped the article, we envied the
hunter his happy life, but now Ire is
cold in death, and leaves a wife and
two children destitute and desolate.

Jadge Hill is well known to every
body in Terrell County ; and it is need

part, will haimonize all discordant ele
ments in the county, if any such there

A young man, named Homer Nunn,
who* is said to have a widowed mother
living in or near Smithville, was shot
and killed by a Mr. Barrett, ne ,r
Montezuma, last week. Nuuo cut

Resolved-. That the qualified voters of
the county, who have heretofore (t.nd
will) act with the democratic party,
hold a primary election at each mili
tia precinct iu this county, on Satur
day, the 17th day of this month, aud
nominate, by ballot, a candidate to
represent Terrell county in the next
General Assembly Said election to
be held by the E.-tocutive Committee
of the different militia districts, or,
in their absence, by any three freehol
ders: Said Executive Committee or
freeholders shall keep al coned list of
the votes polled, count them aid certi
fy them as cotrecr, aud shall, on the
succeeding Monday,a the court house,
consofidate the vole, aud the person
having the highest number of votes
shall be declared the nominee of the
democratic party

fifth day of next month, there are
several things to be decided, and on

stitution is to be ratified or rejected ; j
a choice is to be made between the
old homestead of 1868 and the new
homestead of 1877 ; the capital is to
he located either at Atlanta or Mil- ;
ledgeville; a Senator is to be elected
for the district composed of the coun
ties of Clay, Randolph and Terrell ; a j
Representative for the county is to be
elected. All these questions are to be j
decided by the people. The next leg
islature will have nothing at all to do !
with the location of the Capital. That
question nv ill be entirely settled by tho
election in Dece nbor.
