Sicltuess and pie mature death are almost always due to violation of the laws that govern our physical being, and of which the masses tun igucruet. If men knew better they would do better : but how can they avoid sn evil that they know run ol'r W Inin efforts ate ruadf> through tho public scl.cols to give • ach child u so-called toxiintiH English education yet the children are pieiuittod to grow up and enter upon tie responsible duties of active life, profoundly igno rant of the structure of ti err own bodies, and tho lawsof physical being upon which their health and lives da- \ pend. They aro sent to school anil emulated with aiitktneuc, grammar, and googinphy, by teucheis who. in many instances, have never studied physiology aud hygine. They are taught to locate the mountains and ttace tho livers of foreign countries but are m ver taught to locate the vital organs ami glands of their own bodies or trace the virs, aitoties, and nerves iu their various ramifications.
