The President died nt 10:35 Inst night.
About ten minutes before ton o’clock lie
fell asleep, nwnkeniug at fifteen minute
after ton. 1 le remarked that lie wn
suffering great pain, and placed his
hand over his heart. At 10 - 35 he was
pronounced dead, the immediate enuse
it is stated being exhaustion and neu
ralgia of the heart.
Eiderton, September 2l.—The fol
lowing official bulletin was prepared nt
11 o’clock by the surgeonawho had been

the wound, was supposed during life to
have been the track of the ball. Ou ex
amination of tlio organs of tho chest ev
idences of severe bronchitis weio found
on botli sides with bronchial pneumonia
of the lower portions of the right hing,
though to a much less extent on the loft.
