anxious to sec this wonderful girl.
An uncle of Miss Lula, a large heavy
man, sat. in a chair with his feet on
tin? rounds, and by simply placing
her hands on the back of the chair she
moved it and the occupant across the
room.
She touches u chair with iter fingers,
and it is simply impossible for as
many along men as can possibly take
hold of it to keep the chair still. It
would commence with a jerk in one
direction,then hack again, the motion
increasing in violence. She found
that she could not release her hands
until thee hair touched the tloor.
On one omission she was riding
with her uncle in an open buggy, she
holding an umbrella above them.
Suddenly the umbrella commenced
swaying in nil directions and slm
found it imtnpossihle to keep it steady
Her uncle was obliged to tako tho
umbrella from her.
A neighbor had received a black
squirrel, stuffed, from a friend in low
er Georgia. Miss Lula was inspect
ing it, nnd us she was stroking it on
the hack, it commenced to move and
fell to the tloor. She picked it up
and repeated the experiment and it
acted like a thing of life.
On another omission, while taking
dinner at her uncle’«s residence, she
startled the whole party by causing
the table to move off* and “shake it
BO if."
(It. may he well to remark here that
the table was well loaded. Hence it
went off.)
She plays havoc with tho cutlery
and crockery. Miss Laura Wimber
ly says that ou one occassion she saw
a knife on the table in trout of her
rise from the table, circle around, and
then fall to the floor.
At one time, while in her own room,
•Mr*, llurst heard i onsiderablo of a
racket among the crockery in the
dining room. On going immediate
ly from into the hall, she saw a gob
let on the hall floor Htill rolling ns if
it had been thrown with considerable
force. Now comes the question: How
did that goblet get from the dining
room table to the hall floor, the din
