A Terrible Accident.
From a gentleman who came in on
a freight train on the Central rail
road yesterday morning, we learn ot
a terrible accident svliieh befell a
party of men from Milledgcville. AYe
are unable to give the names, hilt
the particulars, as we learn them, are
these: A lew days ago, a party ot
twelve men in three battenux, with a
fourth boat containing the haggagi
left Milledgeyille and proceeded
lown the Oconee river to Dublin.
When within a few miles of that
place, on Wednesday night, the bat
eaux collided with a raft caught in
the top of a fallen tree in the river
and lour men out of one hntteim and
one.out, of another were drowned.
